Patients & Visitors
April 14, 2021
For the continued safety of our patients and staff, Exeter Hospital is limiting visitors to one pre-designated person per patient for 2 hours per day. Walk in visitation is still not permitted. Exceptions may be made for Pediatric patients, end of life and family center patients. Unfortunately, vaccination status does not exempt individuals from following the current visitation policy. If you have a question, please contact your provider or the patient unit at 603.778.7311.
April 16, 2021- Mask Update
Although Governor Sununu has announced he will not renew the State of New Hampshire’s mask mandate that expires today April 16, 2021, Exeter Health Resources and its affiliates; Exeter Hospital, Core Physicians and Rockingham VNA & Hospice will continue to require all staff, patients, and visitors to wear a surgical mask provided by the organization at all times at or within any of our off-site practice locations and while on the campus of Exeter Hospital. Further, all additional safety precautions remain in place including social distancing and frequent handwashing hygiene.
Given that COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in New Hampshire are rising, and there is indisputable evidence that demonstrates the effectiveness of masks in reducing the spread of COVID-19, we strongly encourage all organizations to continue to follow masking requirements and the public to continue wearing masks when outside the home. Wearing a mask is the most effective tool we have in the fight against COVID-19 until the State has reached its public vaccination goals. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines also support wearing masks to slow community transmission of the virus. The best way to get our community back to normal and keep our businesses and schools open is to follow masking and social distancing guidelines and encourage everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
