Paige Fallon, MS OTR/L, and Denise Murphy-Simmons, PT, DPT., did a zoom presentation with Heidi Robertson, OTD, at MCPHS for the NH Occupational Therapy annual conference on the collaborative approach to the treatment of children with Idiopathic Toe Walking.

This presentation highlighted the work that is done at the Pediatric Rehabilitation for children with this diagnosis.

Our team of pediatric occupational therapists specializes in treating children who have challenges in the areas of sensory processing and regulation, fine motor skills, orthopedics, ocular motor skills and daily living skills.  Each family system’s specific goals are addressed through clinical treatment tools such as sensory integration techniques, brushing protocol, Therapeutic Listening, Beckman Oral Motor Techniques, and sensory/emotional regulation programs.  Our expert therapists focus on each child’s developmental stage and needs to determine the best course of treatment.

Comprehensive evaluation and treatment include the following areas:

  • Activities of Daily Living / Self-Care Skills
  • Fine Motor Coordination and Strength
  • Visual Perceptual Skills
  • Oral Motor and Feeding Skills
  • Neuromusculoskeletal Conditions
  • Sensory Processing Disorder
  • Handwriting
  • Post-Concussion
  • Postural Strength and Control
  • Executive Functioning Including Attention and Focus
  • Sensory/Emotional Regulation
  • Pediatric Acquired Brain Injury
  • Reflex Integration
  • Praxis and Motor Planning
