3D Mammography at Exeter Hospital

Exeter Hospital is pleased to now offer 3D mammography (breast tomosynthesis), the latest and more accurate mammogram technology for breast cancer screening. Breast tomosynthesis produces a three-dimensional view of the breast tissue that enables radiologists to identify small cancer tumors that may otherwise be hidden among other breast tissue structures in a traditional 2D mammogram, and reduces call back rates and additional testing for false positives.
