Michelle Savoie, MSN, RN, NE-BC, Named Chief Nursing Officer of Exeter Hospital

Longtime Nursing Leader Will Continue Tradition of Extraordinary Patient- Centered Care

Exeter, NH – Michelle L. Savoie, MSN, RN, NE-BC, has been named chief nursing officer and vice president of acute care services of Exeter Hospital. Savoie, who has more than 22 years of experience in maternal child health and acute care, will further the delivery of extraordinary patient-centered care at Exeter Hospital through the highest professional standards of nursing.

As a member of the senior leadership team, Savoie will be responsible for the promotion and enhancement of first-class nursing practice throughout Exeter Hospital, in alignment with Exeter’s Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence designation, a prestigious global recognition emphasizing superior teamwork, innovation and patient care.

Savoie joined Exeter Hospital in 2005, serving as director of the Family Center and Center for Reproductive Care & Maternal Fetal Medicine for 16 years. She was named senior director of acute care services in 2021, responsible for leading day-to-day operations for inpatient nursing departments, respiratory therapy and an outpatient clinic. In September 2024, she was appointed Exeter Hospital’s interim chief nursing officer and vice president of acute care services.

She previously served as nurse manager, maternal child health at Winchester Hospital, also part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, in Winchester, Mass., from 2002 to 2005.
