The Center for Breast Health offers 3D mammography at Exeter Hospital, and the Plaistow Regional Health Center.  We have expertise in breast MRI and ultrasound for women who need a more detailed exam.  We also assess and provide support for women at greater risk through our unique High Risk Breast Health Program and genetic testing. And should you need breast cancer services, our Center for Cancer Care has highly dedicated staff members and provides care in partnership with leading Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center specialists.Tang_Rong-(3).jpg

A painless exam using high frequency sound waves to make a picture of the internal structures of the breast. This test does not use radiation. Ultrasounds are typically used to better define abnormalities found on a mammogram and to distinguish features such as fluid or solid. Ultrasound is a helpful tool in diagnosing breast lumps. The American College of Radiology does not recommend ultrasound as a screening tool to detect breast cancer.
