Physical Therapy
The Pediatric ReHabilitation Department of Exeter Hospital is committed to offering the highest quality care to children and families in the community. Our goal is to provide excellent patient care experiences by engaging families in the treatment process and responding to specific needs and preferences. Our team consists of occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists.
The role of pediatric physical therapy is to assist children in reaching their maximum potential for functional independence at home, at school and in the community. Physical Therapists work with children to promote independence, facilitate motor development, and improve functional mobility, strength and endurance.
Our pediatric physical therapists support children in the development of skills needed to be a successful student, sibling, son or daughter, friend, and community member. We collaborate with children, their families, medical providers, educators, and other therapy disciplines to provide the best, most current therapy, and to help children develop into happy, healthy, independent adults.
