Injury Prevention

Did you know that injuries are the leading cause of death for children age 1 through 18 years. Each year in the U.S. alone, more than 7,000 children die from unintentional injuries. One in four will be injured seriously enough to require medical treatment.

Most injuries occur because of risky, unsafe behavior-which means the injuries are preventable. Everyone can play a role in reducing injuries by learning good safety habits, using safe products and equipment, and following safety laws.

HealthReach offers many FREE community programs for injury prevention. Please contact us at 1-800-4-EXETER (1-800-439-3837) for further information or to arrange a presentation for your program.
