- Free bone health education
- This free service is available to anyone who has had a bone density DEXA scan at Exeter Hospital in the last two years.
- Our bone health consultations consist of a 30 minute one on one education session to address your specific bone health needs.
- Topics covered include calcium, vitamin D and exercise. In addition, you will learn about achievement of peak bone mass, T-scores, medications and the bone remodeling process.
- Our bone health educators are part of a multidisciplinary team and consist of nurses, physical therapists and an exercise physiologist.
- Screenings for Osteopenia/Osteoporosis are offered as an educational tool and are intended to raise awareness in women who have NOT been previously diagnosed.
