Department of Clinical Education

The Department of Clinical Education is responsible for the education and training of clinical and non-clinical staff for all five subsidiaries of Exeter Health Resources.

Course Offerings

The department publishes a quarterly calendar of course offerings. Hard copies of the calendar are distributed to all departments, and an on-line version is posted on the “Education & Training” page of the EHR Intranet. Additional hard copies of the calendar are available from Education Department staff members. See the Class Registration instructions, below.
Clinical Education Department staff members are also available to do customized training at the request of management.

Following is a list of Education Department staff members, along with their job responsibilities, locations, and telephone numbers:

Lianne Tonry, RN, MN, Manager of Clinical Education, is responsible for overseeing the department activities and responding to the educational needs of the corporation. She is located in the educators’ office on the second floor, west wing of Exeter Hospital. You can reach Lianne at 580-7109.

Christine Bone, RN, BS, CCRN, Professional Development Specialist, is the clinical nurse educator for the PCU/4W. She is located in the educators' office on the second floor, west wing of Exeter Hospital. Christine can be reached at 580-7443.

Liz Burrows, RN, BSN, Professional Development Specialist, part time off shift educator, is responsible for numerous clinical offerings. She is located in the educators’ office on the second floor, west wing of Exeter Hospital. You can reach Liz at 580-7053.

Gail Dailey, RN, BSN, BCH, CHP, Professional Development Specialist, is the clinical educator for the Family Center. She is also a resource for hypno and water birthing. Gail is located in the Family Center on the third floor, east wing of the hospital and can be reached by calling 778-7311, extension 6475.

Carol Frock, RN, BSN, BA, Professional Development Specialist, is the ICU clinical nurse educator. Carol actively supports numerous clinical education programs. She is located in the educators' office on the second floor, west wing of Exeter Hospital. Carol can be reached at 580-7338.

Mike Hall, Instructor, is responsible for instructing AHA Healthcare Provider CPR classes, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support classes. He is located at Exeter Healthcare. Mike can be reached at 580-7445.

Sue Kimball is the Education Department Systems Administrator. She is responsible for maintaining the HealthStream and EduTrak healthcare education databases, which are used for tracking annual training and clinical competencies for all staff within the organization. Sue is located offsite, but retrieves her messages at 580-6488.

Ann Kozar, RN, MS, Professional Development Specialist, is responsible for nursing orientation, and numerous clinical offerings. She is located in the educators’ office on the second floor, west wing of Exeter Hospital. You can reach Ann at 580-7298.

Jeam Mellott, MSN, RN, BC, Professional Development Specialist, is the clinical nurse educator for 4 South and PACU. She is located in the educators' office on the second floor, west wing of Exeter Hospital. Jean can be reached at 580-7380.

Monica Meredith, RN, CCRN, APRN, BC, Professional Development Specialist, is the clinical nurse educator who is available on the night shift, specifically for the hospital night staff. Jennifer Mitchell, Clinical Education Senior Secretary, is responsible for class registrations, maintaining the department files, word processing, tuition reimbursement, quarterly education calendar, coordinates conference room scheduling and directly supporting the manager. Class Registration
In our efforts to make it as easy as possible for employees to register for classes through the Corporate Education Department, we have developed an automated class registration system. Simply dial extension 7476 (580-7476) and follow the instructions. It's as easy as that!
